GDPR and direct mail
You can still continue to use direct mail under GDPR...
The new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) which came into force on 25 May 2018, has made all organisations review and address how they capture, store, manage and process data.
But, it hasn't meant the end of marketing, and in particular, direct mail. In fact, since direct mail doesn't require the same permissions as other channels, it makes it a far more favourable way to contact existing or prospective customers. Direct mail really can be the way to stay ahead in this new era.
Don't forget, you may still be able to use direct mail under legitimate interest
Legitimate interests is one of the six lawful bases for processing personal data. You must have a lawful basis in order to process personal data in line with the ‘lawfulness, fairness and transparency’ principle.
